Not recommendable! Lapskaus from the can! Sold an old roll as a baguette with it? The atmosphere is great, while eating at the nicely laid table when the boss yells at the staff to soft music in the background ...

Happy to eat fresh fish in the restaurant there. Splendid. And then buy super fresh fish for sale at home.

Always super fresh fish. The fish soup and the fish cakes are awesome. The staff and the owners are always very nice and very friendly. It's a shame that it has to be closed at the moment due to Corona. But we will be back as soon as possible.

Rustic benches in front of the restaurant. It's full in the restaurant, better not go without a reservation, although after a few attempts nobody answered the phone. Service and food were good and tasty. But also high prices. The only really tasty thing was the crab soup.

Super nice staff. Very tasty food at good prices. Corona instructions are implemented .. can only recommend it. Very well attended ... not a miracle!

The service was friendly and a little confused. Presumably homemade, because there are not enough staff? The food was delicious if you (I) had got something. There was an apology for this. The four of us have also been satisfied with three meals, which may serve as a decision-making aid for larger orders.

Everything was very tasty and friendly service. Clean toilets, changing table available, play area for children. To my disappointment, there was only a tiny portion of fried potatoes with the large boatswain plate with 4 fish fillets. Why are people so stingy when it comes to cheap side dishes?

Food was good. Service not like that. No greeting, stupidly left standing at the entrance, no candle (tea light) turned on. Not asked if everything was OK. The store was not very busy.

We didn't like it this time. Corona sends its regards. The service was a bit musty, the Limandes fillet was fried too much and the prices do not match the prices given on Google. Google price 16.50 € and actually on the menu in the restaurant 18.00 €. Should perhaps be voted on.

The Admiral platter was delicious. The fried potatoes were perfect too. What also tasted great was the tartar sauce and all for a reasonable price. We were there for dinner, unfortunately it took a while with the service.

5 * for out - of - home fish sales. Large selection of types of fish and preparation methods. The snack dishes on offer are also varied, fresh and very tasty! Despite the daily completeness of the business, the employees are very friendly, competent and work quickly. 2 * for the adjoining restaurant. At the entrance there is already a large notice that there is a shortage of staff and that we ask for your indulgence. The restaurant was jam-packed and every table that was vacated was already besieged by lunchtime. The people who got something to eat had a satisfied expression :-). We sat at the vacated table for 25 minutes and waited for a waitress to come, clear the table, maybe even take a drink order or bring the menu ... In vain. Then we left. The staff for the service: there were only two! One of them was still at the bar for filling the drinks and a good fairy would often shoot out of the kitchen with food in hand and serve. Tasty Crab Soup!

You can't see it from the outside, but behind the facade there is a really good fish restaurant. We enjoyed very fresh fish prepared superbly. The service was very friendly, competent and quick. I will definitely come by again.

We can't really rate the restaurant because nobody served. We waited 25 minutes for someone to bring the menu. Even 3 waiters walked past us. Then we just left.

Best fish restaurant in Cuxhaven that we tested. I can only recommend it! Food is of great quality and the price is okay. Service partly very nice and partly okay. Have tried three other restaurants in the vicinity of which the fish crate was by far the best. Two were one flop another fine. If you don't want to have a bad experience at the port of Cuxhaven, you should go straight to the fish box.

Contrary to other people's reviews, we didn't consider it a snack. You can sit outside under large parasols. The food was good. The admiral plate was highly recommended. The salad was plentiful and everyone was full. The prices are cheaper than in the hotel and the food is more plentiful. We recommend.

From the outside, the restaurant looks more like a snack bar. Inside, it is modern and tastefully decorated for a fish restaurant. We got a seat here straight away, even though it was quite full. The conditions were also friendly and accommodating. We had enough time to choose drinks and dishes and didn't have to wait long for everything. The food was served to all 5 people at the same time and was presented in a very appealing way. We each had different dishes and they all tasted very good. The price-performance ratio is also 100 percent right here. You pay 19 euros for saithe with prawns and fried potatoes, but the price is completely justified. I can only recommend the restaurant Die kleine Fischkiste to everyone.

We were eating in the small fish box on July 4th, 2020. A table spontaneously for seven! I call getting people an absolute top service. The ambience is absolutely successful, a lot of Nordic touch combined with modern elements. The food was really delicious and even the youngest guest among us gave 5 stars for the delicious chips :-) The portions are large and the price-performance ratio is absolutely the same. Those who love fish cannot avoid this restaurant. There is ample parking space and the service staff is attentive and very friendly. All in all a successful evening and we would love to come back!

Very tasty and inexpensive. If someone does not really want to commit to a type of fish, I recommend the numbers 103 and 104. Colorful mixed salad is also highly recommended. We will be back definitely!

Very nice atmosphere, good food. Price are ok. Moreover they have a small Spielplatz that can save your dinner in case of children.

Fabulous food, very nice ambiente but service could have been more friendly, busy or not busy. Remember - it's the customers keeping your business going, not you, not your chef - it's those who come and spend money in your restaurant!!!

Delicious shrimps, big portions, menu in German only. Despite the problem with the translation it is a nice place with good service and food.
